I'm with WS - my TomTom is auto set to running, but on a couple of occasions when i've cycled and forgotten to change the TT, by the time it's uploaded to Fetch, it 'knows' it's cycling. i don't know whether the TT watch does that or if it's something clever Mr Fetch does. (my money is on Mr Fetch being clever)
McG - did Liebling find it amusing?!?

I've got a 235 which allows me to download 'apps'. So I do technically have 'Hiking' as an option on it. I only used it once as it filled the watch screen with all sorts of crap. Although looking at 'Other', which I used earlier it hasn't provided any sort of breakdown by distance, so that's a bit poo.

I've downloaded an App called 'Simple Walk' onto my 235 which does all that I need without too much extraneous nonsense - might be worth a look

Fetch uses speed to say if he thinks it's walk, run or bike. It doesn't always get it right, but it's pretty good. G

Actually, I normally use the World Cup octopus to predict the activity type in advance. He's shockingly good.

He's dead, unless you're talking about the 'virtual' world cup octopus
