oh yes she has. Walked, ran, biked and swam in or around the local pool.
Sadly the tub is not quite big enough for swimming, though I'm tempted by the bungee cord tecnhique.
Does drinking gin count as cross-training? On the principle that I had to put on special clothes for it, I'd say yes...

(Just kidding. I'd already bootcamped that day anyway.)

😂 This makes you even more of an aspirational figure, ITG!
Only a matter of time until gin drinking becomes a recognised form of crosstraining, IMHO.

Weight training - best to alternate which hand you hold your gin in though for best effect... That or some fairly substantial snacks to balance out.

How about the bottle in one hand and the mixer in the other?
[Aspirational? Good Lord, Raemond, go find someone else. I wouldn't recommend misanthropic old me to anyone.]

[not to brag, but I reckon I could probably give you a run for your money in misanthropy already]

I have a small pool (7mx4m) and I have logged swimming occasionally when I have done kicking or sculling drills up and down the pool. I also think throwing the children into the pool can be good training but I have never logged it. From a WSW point of view I don't think it makes any difference in the 1v1 games as my home points tends to be a high score anyway so it doesn't make any difference to whether you win or lose that square. In the very early rounds of multi-player it could be the difference between getting a square or not which could be significant but very quickly a high score in only one square is not very useful.

Will be in touch go for the pool today I think. Forecast is for 28 degrees but with some cloud so the pool may not get to a pleasant temperature.

I miss swimming Specifically nipping up to Flatford to swim along the river.
Far from working giving me an unfair advantage, I'm on a losing streak.

God I miss swimming. I don't get to do a lot as the rivers round here aren't well suited, but a little goes a long way
