Think Gooner might be right but I'm no expert on this. I had a phlebotomist who was in a hurry once ( that's the only reason I think it could have been). They struggled to get a syringeful out for blood tests and afterwards my arm bruised from elbow down to wrist! I remember it vividly cos it was in the middle of the summer but my Mum made me wear long sleeves for fear of the neighbours thinking she had a teenage drug addict daughter!

was planning to on Friday but went down with a cold on Wednesday! so no good! will try again in a few weeks! Trouble is that usually the blood drop won't sink in the test! not exactly anaemic but not enough to spare either! but keep on trying OH on the other hand goes regular as clockwork!

Thanks also for your answer to my question about cuts and bruises as a hindrance to donating, Gooner, and well done on avoiding work that day.
If anyone knows how big exactly a cut has to be to count as a cut and whether they'll want to see it, I'd of course still be all ears (obsessive? me? ;-)).
