Hope it was ok Scribbler.
I still have a bruise from the botched attempt to needle me eight days ago! It hasn’t been at all painful though & I booked straight in for the next time I’m eligible to give, at the end of March.

Failed again
Usually once they get in, I'm fine, but barely a trickle, so we had to give up. I was hoping to get a donation in before jabs and foreign travel mean I have to wait a few months. I'm going to take a break and try again in the New Year.
I'd drunk so much liquid I had to stop for a pee on the way home!

That's so disappointing for you. Is it worth trying the other arm next time?

Sorry to hear that Scribbler
I got my 2nd phone call recently asking me to donate. I'm still waiting for test results to give me the all clear so they've updated my records. Once I've got them I think I need to wait a few months before I'll be allowed back.

The Scribbler
I'm booked in for another go in a couple of weeks' time, so wish me luck! I've never been very good at giving up an obvious vein. I think I need to ask them to attach the cuff tighter.
The good news is that I don't need any additional jabs for my Zambia/Botswana trip so that won't stop me giving blood before I go.

Good luck!
I've had to put my appointment back because I had an endoscopy.
