eL Bee!
I often fail the copper sulphate drop test, but my Hb is invariably absolutely fine on the "other" test. *That* has improved too - they don't need a venous 'stab' for it now as I discovered today - Hb 140 despite having a semi-floater on the drop test.

Got rejected again. 1 point under. Am irrationally upset about it. If it happens again I will be banned.
Suppose it wasn't the brightest idea to give just after the 24 hr race.

Sigh
Linds.
I'd leave it a good while now to avoid a ban.
Well done on the race, by the way!

Velociraptor
Tricky call. I've often given blood a day or two after a target race and it's been fine.

I can next give on Sept 13th and have Ealing on 29th Sept. That's enough recovery time. I'm thinking if I take ferrous fumerate every day between now and then and provided I don't have any more elongated periods I shd be fine, right?

I gave on Tuesday. No issues and I'd raced on Sunday.
Was in and out within 25 minutes. The previous time was almost an hour due to all the waiting.

Fizz :-)
I went today. My blood failed the drop test, first time ever. Then she put it in the machine. It needs to be 125, as most of you seem to know.
It was . . . 124
Not sure what’s caused it, we have done some fairly hard racing in the last few weeks though.
