Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Of course, there is a specific question that would link TMS and Bond questions, as I bet many of you will know..

Yes indeed there is!

I always presumed that the selection of the specialist subject wasn't so much "what does this person know" as "if we give them this reading list and this subject title, what can we quiz them on"? Do contestants get to come in with their real specialism, or do they have to pick from a list that the programme makers construct to ensure fairness?

I'd give "The original trilogy of Star Wars films" a good go as a specialism purplesaber

Sigh
Mine would have to be "irrelevant nonsense I have encountered at work, 1986-2021". I can recall that with greater clarity than anything of actual value.

FIFA World Cup. Friends brought books into school or at social events and quizzed me on every aspect and I got quite a large number of answers right.

Joy Division for me.

Stumbled across a YouTube with a contender on this very subject, matched his score and reckon I could have answered quicker and maybe got another question or two in.
