I was going to post an almost identical comment Dio. New car delivered halfway down the street and I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to get it into reverse. Had to do a long winded drive round the village to get back home...

[I was 21 at the time and none of the cars I’d driven up to them had had such a system. On the test drive I’d only used the forward gears.]

Doesn't everyone always leave the car in gear? or dis you not all start off with cars with crap handbrakes?
It's a good job I do, my last car had an electronic handbrake, I've had Elmo 2 years now and I still forget the handbrake is a proper lever.
