Big smiles here because, several weeks after taking delivery of our new car, we've found out how we're supposed to get into it! It's one of these new-fangled keyless jobs. We've been clicking the remote when we're supposed to touch a pad on the door handle. Old people, eh?

[Grumpypants - That reminds me of the first time I hired a car. I'd only driven my old beat-up micra previously, and the brand new 100-miles-on-the-clock car I was given for the weekend had keyless start. I couldn't figure out how to turn the engine on even as I pressed the "on" button - I didn't realise you also had to depress the clutch whilst pressing the button to make it start. Gave the guys at the hire place a laugh watching my panic and confusion and I had to wave one of them over to ask how to turn the engine on to much embarrassment!]

I remember picking up a new car and it was parked facing a wall. I couldn’t get it in reverse. I kept trying and finding myself in first and getting nearer and nearer to the wall. Eventually I had to ask and felt very stupid when the salesman showed me the collar you had to pull up to get it into reverse gear
