Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What minor disaster has befallen you today?

Next door's builders have left two unpacked rolls of loft insulation on the scaffolding platform underneath the plastic sheeting covering their (lack of) roof.

Except most of the insulation has now been shredded and scattered over our garden by the strong winds :-(

Dropped my iPad and it landed face down on a hard floor. Guess who forgot to buy a screen protector for it? Annoyed with myself now.

Dropped a pot of light grey paint from the loft hatch which split all over the dark orange landing carpet and splashed up the walls. Two of the children helped clear up the monumental mess and it is now barely noticable. quite a major disaster except that i didnt need the paint anyway

I appear to have cooked the forester engine, and am now sat on the hard shoulder of a belgian highway waiting for Sam to come rescue me.
E must be nearly home, so hopefully it won't take too long.

(I. I must be nearly home. He was already home. I'm about 15 minutes away from home I think)

Forgot to buy anyone before going out this morning. Also didn’t plant my Rundle numbers where I was running 🙈

This minor disaster happened to my daughter today.
She lives in Totnes and was working in Torquay, but accidentally got the wrong bus home and ended up in Exeter. She’s just called to say she’s now on the train home to Totnes from Exeter.
I really hope that she doesn’t doze off and miss her stop! 🤞

I was running late but just caught my train, only to realise that my 10 journey ticket was full, so now I'm technically travelling unticketed.

And the bloody Belgian Rail app doesn't accept useful payment methods for me to get a new one.

Luckily, they have quite a lax approach to ticket inspecting so I may be able to get this sorted before I'm checked, but it's stressful nonetheless.
