Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

What do you know today, that you did not yesterday?

Nano Tubes (NT) are usually made of carbon, but a Chinese team decided to make some out of copper (Cu) and called them copper nano tubes.

Our previous neighbours across the back kept snakes in their house and garage, including a black mamba, with all the legally required security measures. We had no idea.

Our neighbours across the road had chickens and we didn't know about them until recently. I heard them in the mornings and when we spoke to them they told us. 10 years they had them and we didn't know.

Have we had the fact that the NZ national badminton team wanted to be the Black Cocks?
I feel like that's a very Fetchie sort of fact, I'm not sure where I would have learned it otherwise.

Originally their company name was PRONAV and we used to fit their early GPS units to light aircraft.
I wasn’t impressed when they changed it to GARMIN, even after I learned the reason, as it didn’t sound as “high tech” as PRONAV.
