so lets assume we reach 500k registrations and that there are ( I'm guessing here) 15k places available to the ballot. This gives a 3% chance of ballot success

I'm planning to run it backwards early morning and then get drunk and support.
As was the plan this year, until I got the club place just before xmas.

Fizz :-)
I'd be surprised if there are even as many as 15,000 ballot places - isn't the Red 'mass' start purely charity places, (I think) and then it's ballot and club places on the much smaller blue. (Not sure about GFA though, aren't they also blue, with champs and celebs on green?) I keep thinking about doing some sort of analysis on the finish numbers, but it's too much like hard work. I'm in the ballot, for what it's worth anyway

Redhas c2000 Fast GFA (sub3:15 I guess) that start ahead of the red masses
Green also has a GFA bit which I think are the slightly slower but still GFA qualifiers and starts behind the slebs.
I am not sure if anyone else gets into green or red...have never started on blue so not sure

You might be right, Fizz. I have had three Red starts (all Golden Bond places) and one from Blue (ballot).

I was blue last year with a club place and blue this year with a ballot.
Green is celebs but after that I have no idea how it's split.

Anyone recently entered the ballot? I'm interested to see what the numbers are up to.
