The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

I got in through the ballot as I said earlier, I am going to put my entry to use and try and raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society, I have raised money for them many times because the illness means a lot to me. My Gran was in a dementia unit for the last few years of her life and eventually she didn't recognise any of her family, couldn't talk or care for herself. It really is one of the most cruelest illnesses ever! Heres my fundraising page. Thanks for looking.

Found out today that I didn't get in through the London Boroughs ballot either. Not too disappointed as I'll be running Brighton anyway. If you did get a place, here's to wishing you a great day in April.
