Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

On second thoughts I think my idea is a bad one. Too much risk that we tell someone they've got a club place, they pay for their accommodation and travel, then VLM tell us they've changed the formula and we have a disappointed and angry runner on our hands. And if we tell someone "please wait for official confirmation before booking travel" that defeats half the object of drawing early in the first place. Probably nothing to be done.

Old Man - cross posted. I didn't know that (or had forgotten). Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better.

Got the payment email this morning. £39! I didn't see any option to mention a club and save two quid, but I suppose I did(n't) do that when I entered the ballot.

I work for a London borough and have now put myself in their ballot having failed to get in through the main one. Six boroughs along the route have their own places. The remaining 26 (including mine) have four places between them. Percentage-wise it might be an easier way to get in.

I'm really pleased for you, TnoP. If you run for a charity, then one that means something to you far outweighs going through the list just to get in. Have a great race come April and raise a good sum in the process!

Nice one TnoP. Good luck with the training and with the fundraising. Make sure you share your fundraising page on here :-)

Thanks Surrey Phil and FreshStart. Parkinson's means a lot to me so you are right, it will definitely mean more to cross the line knowing I have done my little bit to help.
