I signed up for the 100k (no dodgy black t-shirt) in the hope that my walks would count too

Bu**er - having limited but not entirely immobilised myself, I've swapped from ultra to half (mostly so I can say a did 'something' to earn the shirt and medal I've paid for) thinking I'd have a fair shot at walking that far in a week. If walking doesn't count then I may not even manage that.

This is actually really annoying! People are quite welcome to walk the real event so this virtual one should reflect that.

They are currently recommending you use run for walks as well as running.
13:13 miles in the bag this morning, the count down to 100km has started.

If it's not logging walks then I'm out. I'm not going to record my walks as runs just to get the site to log them as it will muck up all my other stats.

Can you not record as runs so that they go into the Running Heroes site as runs, then change them to walks on here (and anywhere else you log). Once the info is on RH it doesn't change.

I'd have to remember to change them on Garmin, strava and here. Not worth the effort for a virtual event that has advertised that walking is acceptable. From the Running Heroes site: "Just a quick recap. You will have seven days to complete 100km from Monday 6th to Sunday 12th July. It is completely up to you how you tackle this distance:
You can smash it out in one day You can divide it up into smaller chunks and do it across all seven days Or you can do anything in between
The challenge is to complete the distance in your local area by the end of the week, by running or walking it. How you take it on, is completely up to you! "
I wouldn't have entered if I knew it had to be logged as running and as I haven't paid, I'm not losing anything. I'll still aim to cover the distance; it just won't be recognised by the site.

Fragile Do Not Bend
I think Threshold has raised it as an issue with RH so it might all get sorted out.
