Why not just have them when you crave them? Eventually, the craving will subside. And if it doesn't, then it actually doesn't matter.

My boss is vegan, but has eggs on the odd occasion (usually hungover). It doesn't stop him being vegan though.

Really? But surely cheese and eggs are two of the main differences between Vegetarians and vegans, and we're already vegetarian so it wouldn't be much of a change

True, but if you're vegan apart from an occasional lapse, does it REALLY matter? You definitely don't need to beat yourself up about it.

They are right to an extent. Something is better than nothing and if it is more a plant based diet you're after than a vegan lifestyle then the odd egg won't matter no.

Otherwise it depends what you're missing in terms of eggs? Boiled, fried, scrambled?

I am not fussed about eggs and am learning to *like* vegan cheese.

My deliberate lapse today has been stollen with my coffee this morning and a mince pie now, I haven’t managed to find vegan mince pies although I am told M&S do them.

I think my only other lapse has been in having a magnum, I buy the vegan option if they are on offer but refuse to pay almost £4 for 3.

Here's a nice recipe for a raw banoffee pie (that's very good!) - thehealthychef.com

Even hubby likes it...and he's a very fussy eater!

Terminator... when I craved eggs before it didn't matter how they were cooked, my body just wanted eggs :-D

It looks like we're going to have a lot of food to eat before Veganuary! Hopefully the potential weight gain will come off again with the vegan diet ;)

Almost £4 for 3. How much are magnums usually?

Trin lots of great scrambled egg alternatives. Bonsan do ready made vegan scrambled egg. Morrisons sell tinned Ackee, or you can sceamble tofu, which with some black salt and herbs is lush. Follow your heart vegan egg can be used too.
