Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Me Too! Me Too!

(FWIW, I strongly suspect that all of those figures are overestimated. It's remarkable how many "steps" one can collect with a few hours clapping as the London Marathon runs by...)

I’m only on 7M steps but that is since Jan 2020. My previous watch didn’t count them.

I have never counted steps but always been curious how many I clock up in a day's gardening! Just cutting my grass is 2.5 kms on my garmin with the new mower. It was just over 5 with the old mower...
So, does Garmin calculate these steps for you when you upload your exercise? If so, I can where my "new" wrist Garmin while gardening next week and find out...

I think it depends on your Garmin, mine is always tracking steps even if I am not tracking/got GPS on

Sigh
@Hann, when you set your watch up, set it as your preferred activity tracker.

See which badges you've unlocked:

If you don't appear to have unlocked any, try feeding something to your training log, and the badge system will get a nudge to assess you.

Got any suggestions for badges that you'd like me to add? Let me know.
