Very smart.

Definitely 50 & 100 miles in a month.

Would a race PB badge be doable?
Maybe 200 posts in a month
Mileage target for the year achieved.
1000 miles in a year
2500 bike miles perhaps.

For races, I was thinking that there'd be something like a "sub-30" badge for 5k, and "sub-29", "sub-28" etc.

Will this me opt in?

Personally, I'd prefer to avoid Xmiles a month/year type badges, because 50 miles is a very poor month for some and a fantastic month for others. Instead could it be linked to an individuals previous records, so for example a badge for 90%, 100% & 105% of previous personal record monthly/yearly mileage.

And I've got to disagree with CStar about "rewarding" number of posts. All it will do is encourage the silly (IMO) threads, like counting to X etc... and I can't see how that's an achievement worthy of a badge.

Sharkie - you'd get the 100 mile month badge at least, for your mileages in 2007. And there'd be "overall mileage" ones, and I reckon there'd be a 1000 mile badge in that category.
