I was thinking of getting one of those shark fin floating devices for kids and sticking the watch to the top of it, probably not a good idea over here. Back stroke? Watch arm in the air, other arm swimming? I was lucky, mine was shallow enough to stand so walked with arm in the air at the start and finish hoping garmin would join the dots. I've got a 235 so just recorded it as other and changed it

I think Nightjar used to tuck a GPS into his swimming hat, to give it best chance of being out of the water.

Yes lots of info on OW forums about putting garmin in hat (or tow float if in OW). But I guess being in an indoor pool will affect how easy/not it is to pick up the GPS signal.
Sometimes using fetch is a surreal experience, it's what makes it so good.

Just picked up the 'Under the influence of running' badge, which I didn't realise was a thing. Apparently I've never tried to trim an activity on here before!
