57.5 Degrees of Pain
If Ray25757 is active here he'll get quite a few notifications for me! 2.54 to 8.13 @damo_HAC, I ran my marathon PB 2 weeks after G2E. Both races went well in good weather, though as the G2E was my first ultra I was conservative in the early going. Marathon was Lochaber, which was flat but 300m long! G2E is slightly longer now (55 miles back in the day). We ran from Ruchill Park to the basin at the very end of the Union canal. fetcheveryone.com/t-7560467 |

Interesting that the conversion suggested here isn't miles out from McMillan (it's probably about a mile out, lol). mcmillanrunning.com |

I'd also be interested in what Fetch data shows.

Last year I used it as a warm up race for Fellsman a month or so later. I’m half tempted to do the same as a guide to where my fitness. But the terrain is very much different. Still it’s an excellent event all round.

@57.5 Degrees of Pain thank you. That seems about right. I went off far too fast last year and paid for it in the later stages.

I’d put a reminder in my phone calendar but thanks Paul paulcook wrote:

I've got several reminders in various places. The way it's going it'll end up as a ballot soon

Mr. K.
Thinking about waist belt lights rather than head torch. Recommendations & pro/cons please. TIA |
