For those who are at the sharp end of the ultra running field...below are the England ACP 100k team standards from this year. I don't expect them to change much between now and 2020, so if you're game, get training and stake your claim for the much coveted England team vest.
It is also worth noting that the 2020 IAU 100K World Championship are being held in Holland next September. If you're thinking of claiming a Team GB slot, the ACP 100k could be an ideal opportunity for you to stake your claim and put a marker down.

I've done the Cheviot Goat. Didn't do it in 2017 when the 'bogs' were frozen and it snowed. I did in 2018 when it wa milder and the peat bogs were man-eating! One of the toughest races I've ever completed.

I'm at the Goat again for the third year.
As FenlandRunner says, the two years so far have been very contrasting, but there has not been a proper bad weather year yet. When there was snow on the ground in 2017 it was dry, clear and still for most of the day.
Looking forward to it; the second half across the Cheviots is as remote as its gets in England and all in all it's a beautiful day out.
