Glad we met with the vendor today, they thought it was a hold up our end, we were able to share the information we had received, they then chased up their solicitors.

4 days before we moved, the end of the chain's estate agent was claiming that the start of the chain hadn't responded to all queries; 1st in the chain's estate agents were claiming it was 5th/5 in the chain who hadn't responded to queries. Despite us being 3rd in the chain, we ended up passing information between estate agents until it was all resolved. Very frustrating but it got done.
