Boo did do it!!! That was the funniest and most chilled event I have ever attended! I had loads of fun. I came 2nd in the 100m - wasn't pleased with my slow time of 17secs - but not knowing how to start and not having someone on the other side of me really didn't help. I REALLY didn't push it - so that is a good sign that i have got a lot more sprint in me! I LOVED doing the 100ms... Came VERY last in the 3000m - I will explain more in my blog - but it was hiliarious! (I came last in style!) And i had a go at the javalin - just to get the points for my club - and threw only 5m. That had to be the MOST chilled event. All the competitors were helping each other and not competing seriously at all!! I am definitely signing up for the next events!! |

Well done Boo, sounds like great fun, there must have been some fast boys in the 3000m. I want to do a track meeting soon, just have to find one. I would like to have a go at long jump, 800m and 1500m. I did 5 miles easy of the track on Tuesday on my own and it was SOOOO boring! |

Hey Blister - if you are in Tooting Bec on the 6th June, then come along to the next Rosenheim league meeting. I had loads of fun! Oh and yes the men were VERY fast. And they were real grunters too - hope I don't become a grunter when I get that fast! haha |

Tooting Bec is perhaps a bit far from Bristol Besides, it doesn't look like there's much there let alone a track, from this recent photo: ideal-homes.org.uk I don't really grunt, just exaggerate my breathing when I'm really working hard. |

Oh lord - are you in Bristol?? Sorry Blister - I think because I saw you after FLM, I presumed you were a Londoner (I have no brain!) Oh and grrr to that picture. I am sure there will be a decent track built by the time I get there in June!! |

LOL I went up to London that weekend just to watch FLM (I spent about £150 on train tickets, hotels etc!). Mind you I travel about 130 miles to Farnham to see a coach about once a month (then back again makes more like 260 miles!). |

I hope you run those 260miles Blister...just you think of the environment. Oh and the sense of achievement when you've done it!
