Managed to catch most of the important bits on hols as I found Eurosport, just with no sound!
Not a bad final week after the middle week.

And what's up next....... yes the Vuelta (although it is a tad boring compared to the Giro and Tour), and at the same time there's the Tour of Ireland - cut to 3 days this year due to finance issues. There's also the Tour of Britain - which was great last year, televised on ITV4 - or you could get out to watch it live - Columbia are down to ride, although Cav went to Missouri instead last year as are Astana who should have LA riding.

Iv loved watching the tour every day on itv 4, havent watched a full tour for years. I used to cycle a lot when I was in school many years ago but I havent owned a cycle for years. Would love to get myself a reasonable road bike and combine cycling with running. Cant wait for next years tour to begin now, Wiggins should be even stronger and Cavendish may be unbeatable for the green jersey with another years experience behind him.

From LA's Twitter:

"Seeing these comments from AC. If I were him I'd drop this drivel and start thanking his team. w/o them, he doesn't win."

Oooh! What's all that about then?

news.bbc.co.uk Seems pretty tame to me.

Lol @ LA trying to take the high ground after his comments during the tour.

There was a story in the spanish press (translated on another forum) that LA redirected the car that was supposed to pick up Contador for the TT, Contador would have been out the tour if he had missed his start time but was able to get his brother to pick him up.

SPR - a little bit of pot and kettle but at the end of the day AC did get help from the team.

Next year will be pretty special I think.

GO Brad ?? :¬)

Gobi - Maybe, but Contador never criticized the team, in fact all he basically said is Armstrong isn't a nice person, and AFAIK, this is the first time he has commented negatively about Armstrong.

Rumours that Garmin are trying to sign Contador so Wiggins might end up as a super domestique unless he signs with Sky.

Spanish press have a lot of history of blowing things out of proportion. Look at all the Lewis Hamilton / Alonso stuff. The idea that Lance would or could redirect a car is just ridiculous.

Bring on next year. Brad with another years dedicated road training under his belt.....exciting prospect!

According to the Spanish press (which I sadly read most days, so know just how ridiculous things get), Alonso may start/buy a team, with El Pistolero as the main man.
