Any other eager Tour fans out here/there to discuss this wondeful race? Oh this is so much better than football. Really.

I'm really looking forward to this epic event which can lay a good claim to the toughest sporting test in the world. Although I don't cycle myself, I've been keenly interested since Ch 4 screened Le Tour in the 90s. Maybe it's the strategies, the tactics, the speed or the scenery Looking forward to seeing Lance Armstrong working as a domestique - his story verges on incredible imo.
And you're right, Chris - in a different league from football

I'll be tuning in and there on the Ventoux. It's about the only sport I watch these days - an amazing race with lots of amusing scandal on the side

I reckon Cav will get 5 or 6 stages and Contador or Sastre for the overall.

From 4:30 on ITV4
I'm probably going to enjoy it a lot more this year now I actually understand some of the tactics going on (thank you, Cycling Plus supplement!) Since I live in the Land Of Cav it's going to be hard to avoid talk of it...

I'll be watching, I love it. If I ever win the lottery and don't have to work for a living I'm gonna be one of them nutters in a motorhome who follows it around every July
