If anyone is interested I've mapped all the stage routes http://www.runsaturday.com/Maps/Recent/tabid/100/Default.aspx.

Agree with Sherry Cav will get a few stages, but it'll be Boonen or Hushovd in Green come the end. I think Schleck (Andy will do well especially as he has such a strong team), Evans should do well too. I'm not sure Sastre's team is strong enough to help him in the mountains for the overall win, and with Astana there'll be too many divided loyalties for them to do well overall.

I'm anticipating this years race even more than usual.

Contador should win, I suspect he'll win today, too.
Cav won't make it to Paris, but he'll win a few stages.
Andy Schleck should do well - polka dot and/ or white jersey.

And Mont Ventoux will be amazing. Armstrong has never won there and he'll want it sooo bad.

I'd like Andy Schleck to do well ... and sadly you're probably right about Sastre's team, but a girl can dream. It would be fantastic if Cav finishes this year though - wearing green would be even better.

You know the phrase "sitting on the edge of the seat"? Well, the Tour is the only TV that ever actually has me genuinely on the edge of my seat. Love it! :-)

I suspect Cav will get to Paris - he's not saving himself for the Olympics this time around

I was very impressive with Andy Schleck last year - he went by on the front of the peleton leading up a steady climb looking characteristically impassive. I'd like to see him do well.

By the way, if you don't get a million TV channels already (I don't) you can get a month of Eurosport online for £3.99. The commentary is not as good as ITV4 usually, but there's more coverage. :-)

Edge of your seat, Anna, like in 1987 when Roche and Delgado battled on the Aubisque. Or 1989 when Lemond and Fignon had that epic fight on the last day!

I was in Spain in 1987, trying not to cheer when Roche came out of the mist.
