Morning!

Oh yes - I know that feeling @Derby Tup. Just two days to go to the weekend.

Good news the shoes turned up in the meantime @ElspethF .

60mins recovery is ok for me - IF I keep the pace down enough.

What: running rest day - might pootle on some sort of bike or go for a walk. Should also do a bit of gardening
Why: active recovery
Last hard: 4m at tempo effort - did well enough though - nice constant pace and effort felt appropriate
Last rest: today

Lyrics: another no

Lyrics, think so but not sure!
Running rest day coinciding with stinky cold 2 days before first road event in a while. What could possibly go wrong!
Shoes seem OK, hard to know if will still be OK after 38 miles with my extra wide feet.
Shopping, packing, post office on agenda ie nothing too fun! And a walk at some point. Wind down a bit since yesterday which is good for the ferry in the morning.
Enjoy your runs folks.

Good morning from the House of Plague death

Lyrics: No.
Yesterday's lyrics were the first two lines of Colours of my Life by The Seekers.

What: 90 minutes max of easy running and maybe some light gardening.
Why: It's nice out and I'm still only doing easy running, and with ongoing covid exposure I don't want to do anything to annoy my immune system.
Last hard: Sunday's race.

Hiya
Riggys - those mile reps sound like a decent session
Derby - enjoy club time
Hazel - decent tempo!
Els - hope the cold clears up

Vrap - eek, hopefully you can avoid any germs. Good luck gardening, at least the earth will be easy to turn over after recent deluges!

What - Some shorter intervals hopefully before kids coaching

Why - need to get some speed back
last rest - 14/09
last hard - Tuesday

lyric - don't think so

Wabo, hope the 10k goes well, an important cause to support.
New shoes are trail ones, I generally do off road runs in road shoes because I have yet to find a good trail pair that I can run in on the road bits but next ultra is a bit rougher underfoot (allegedly). Won't be using them on Sat.
Veloci, who has the plague? Hope you avoid it, I did first time P had covid this year but second time we both got it. Strange! Take the run easy!
Dustin thanks, enjoy the speedwork!
A chilly 7C forecast for Sat.
