WP - no, she's not in the results. I don't know if she actually started.

Shades: Thanks ,I thought it was me looking in wrong place. It does not sound good as last night she was eager to get the race done and posted her flat kit layout.

Yes, Eilish won, Thackery 2nd. Separate results for the elite, drop down box on event.

Thank you :) I was looking under results and did not realise drop down menu for Elites! That is around 5 minutes slower than her PB I think.

Not sure she's that fast, I think about 1:06 when she took the British half record a couple of years ago. I don't think she's improved on that as she's been injured most of the last 2 years.

1:28:30 at the Big Half which is 11 seconds slower than my PB. Not a great time if one has <3 ambitions honestly, but I think there are several positives.

-It was humid throughout and low 20s in the second half and I usually race very badly in those conditions

-I was pretty consistent in my splits and HR throughout was what I’d expect in a full

-I have always outperformed at fulls vs halves which is why I hate the latter as indicators!
-I never checked my paces given the notoriously dodgy gps due to Canary Wharf and ran to feel. I never really felt like I was red lining.

-Niggles felt fine including the achilles.

Anyway, not sure how much this helps me for Berlin build but we move on. It was fun to get racing as it’s my first one in a year basically.

About This Thread

Maintained by Shades
Back in December 2005 I started a thread on Runner's World offering a marathon training plan on 3 runs a week. I had my own running club at the time (Womens Running Network) and I had successfully trialled the training plan when I took a group of girls to Dublin to run their first marathon.

Over the years the thread has evolved into a chat thread, with a bit of training advice, race reports, for predominantly marathon runners.
