Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

surprisingly I have been productive for a while despite not changing my training

RHR 46 - 2 months ago this was 52 but as I just said no real change in training so diet and weight loss must be impacting on this too

BB 100 which has been every morning bar 1 (that was 95!) for 4 weeks!
SS 87 Good apparently my long run yesterday helped me recover!
HRV still unbalanced (about 4-5 weeks now) and baseline now up to 93. 7 day average 95 with last night at 99 so hopefully I'll be balanced soon!!

So I'm on week 8 of new diet (The Six Pack Revolution)
Lost 15lb (12")
RHR down from 52-46
HRV has been up for weeks (hence unbalanced!)
BB consistently 100 for last 5 weeks too

Productive
VO2 max up one
Keep getting +3 or +4 for performance when running

I've not really changed my exercise so diet (no caffeine and "crap" like cakes biscuits crisps or alcohol) has had a big impact on my body as well as my weight it seems.

Will be interesting what happens when I have a glass of wine!!

Also will be interested what happens when I do support at the Outlaw weekend - Last year my BB was hammered for 3 days my sleep was shocking and even though I was supporting not taking part I was constantly told recovery delayed and rest!

Thanks Ness

I would never have thought my diet was having that much impact on my body!
I've already decided to carry on with the eating plan after the "wave" finishes (22/7) but I might add back a decaf tetley and a glass on wine with sunday roast at some point

Back to maintaining, no surprise there!

Hrv still unbalanced, training readiness low.

5 hrs 43 “fair” sleep - it says my REM was too low, but I woke up too hot a couple of times and know I’d been dreaming then as they were very weird ones.
It also thinks I woke up at 6:10 - which I did, but I then went back to sleep for a couple of hours.

Seeing as it thought I was asleep for a good hour before I was, it about balances out - but there’s no point in even reading it’s sleep info when it’s always wrong really is there?

mine is fairly accurate RH
Got a +5 on my performance conditioning this morning :-O
HR when running is getting lower too so maybe I should start putting a bit more effort in lol
but my heat adaption has dropped to 41 as it's cooler now

HRV is balanced again :)

Obviously still maintaining

Training readiness moderate after 71/2 hrs sleep - excellent 92

(But I’ve not long been up)

Garmin says the peak phase of training starts today - I set the event up late so the phases are very short, and thinks 67 minutes base is enough for today.

The week includes one anaerobic and two threshold runs, but nothng long as it knows I have LT55k next weekend

Doubt very much I will do as it suggests

Back to Maintaining after a day off yesterday and it wasn't impressed with my sleep last night, but broadly OK. The buttons on my watch don't work if I put the face protector on the wrong way round.

after my run commute inc off road yesterday I had 23 hrs recovery

Just had a message that thanks to my restful day my recovery time has improved ... recovery time now zero

hopefully this means I will have a great 5k time trial tomorrow!

Sounds possible, Pix. Good luck with that.

Something has gone a bit wrong with my Garmin Status today. It says.....

BB - 5 now, down from 26 when I got up! (no idea where that's come from!)

VO2 max - superior 48
Training status - Maintaining - High Aerobic Shortage
Load - optimal 958

Ah... just spotted what the problem might be....
Sleep Score - no sleep score data. Your device did not record sleep data. (Seems like my Garmin fell asleep while I was sleeping! 😉🤣)
RHR - 46
Today's Training Suggestion- Rest. No workout for harder training up ahead. OK, I can do that! 😁

mine had a moment the other day and said I had done no hard sessions or lost weight so was my actual age
then a while later it was back ticking all boxes and saying I was at my youngest age!

About This Thread

Maintained by EvilPixie
According to my Garmin this morning my body battery was at just 41 and I was "strained"
I have been strained for most days in the last 2 weeks
My body battery has also been low

So today it suggested a threshold run of up to an hour!

What's your Garmin say?
