5degC difference between latest Manchester Airport (38) and Liverpool Airport (33). You'd rarely get 5deg between those two.

35 degrees here and noticeably hotter than yesterday’s 33. Yesterday sitting in the shade was ok - the breeze was a little cooling. But today the breeze feels more like opening a fan oven door.

It's so hot that the rain is falling but not getting to the ground due to hot dry air. There's 12% humidity outdoors here; I think that's the lowest I've ever seen on our weather station.

Anglesey is 18degC. Llandudno 25degC. Chester 33degC.

Bonkers differences across a pretty small area. And a shame for my work colleague who has picked this week to holiday in Anglesey :-)

Accidentally acquired Garmin’s Toasty Badge whilst cycling to a long standing appointment. I’m not sure such things should be celebrated but I guess I am in a way by drawing attention to it.

Today in the sun is actually less hot, 38°C rather than 42, due to it being light overcast rather than clear. Like the Rheinland. 29/30 in the shade. It was still 26 post 9pm yesterday (after sun had dipped), 23 at 11 pm.

35ish here in the Derbyshire Dales, feels quite pleasant with the breeze. 10 days acclimatisation in Portugal seems to be helping. Just back from a round of golf, was great to see much extra distance I could gain with the warm air and hard ground. No wonder the pros like playing in warm places! First run was before 8 and quite pleasant but 2nd one may be a bit more sweaty around 5pm. Shame it's only for two days though.
