I marshalled at the recently started local parkrun this morning. But my main Newt is that I'm taking my dad to a silver band concert this evening - he rarely wants to go to things these days so I'm glad he agreed to this.

Just mowed the lawn for the first time this Spring. Also dead-headed various bits and pieces and had a general tidy up :-)

Surprising what a couple of coats of paint will do, need ideas of what to put in the fireplace now, all suggestions welcome :-)

Can’t lay claim for this but we had the first sighting this spring of a fox in our garden last night, pleases me greatly :-)

I did four events at the Southern Counties Vets Indoors today. Think I've only done three previously.

I also attempted 1.06 on the high jump, having cleared 1.03 first go. Couldn't manage 1.06 today... but I will. Am v pleased with official (ie Power of 10) stat. Best WAVA ever in high jump comp. 81.74.

Did 1.02 at one end 1.03 at the other in training ... but competition is another matter!

I haven’t been terribly newty lately and all my newts seem to be related to the newt bike. Another lovely local route explored today.

Thanks - mixed fortunes on shot, LJ and 60m. 60m was 11.14 2/100ths slower than my season's best from early Feb. Still gets me 85.98% so not like it was rubbish ... but am disappointed. I was tired after various jumping complications. Will blog. Well OF COURSE I will blog ;-)

Fields
Well done sharkie; I was never any good at high jump at school. My only passable field event was long jump as I could get reasonable speed which masked my lack of technique a little!

About This Thread

Maintained by Sharkie
Most of you know the score. Much in the bizarre way Easter has come to mean Chocolate, Lent is mainly thought of as an opportunity to Give Up Chocolate. At least until Easter. You know what I mean, 'What are you giving up for Lent?' * I say NO to this. Away with the hair shirts and the deprivation. Let's embrace change and the NEW. Spring is a time of renewal - and restoration.

Soooooo..... you don't have to take up indoor sky diving like my partner's 90 year old mot...
