Very wet today. Most people would have escaped it but I closed down and was proper soggy by the time I got home. Still we have 184 people who seemed to enjoy themselves so all good :-)

I got a message yesterday via a blind runners site asking for a guide runner and I can actually do it. Previously I've been asked the day before their marathon if I could guide someone, but this is just someone 30 minutes from me wanting to do a parkrun.

I'm really looking forward to it as I haven't guided anyone since before lockdown. I have chosen Upton Court as it's not far, they haven't done it before and they need a U for their parkrun alphabet. I think they do decent bacon sarnies too. :-)

I heard he didn’t get one :-o I’m sure he'll tell us in a mo :-)

Home run for me today, chilly and muddy but good to catch up with everyone.

No bacon sarnies! :-( Not that they weren't available, just that I didn't bring cash. They do just have a tiny kiosk there with tea and coffee in polystyrene cups, so I'm quite glad I didn't bother in a way.

The run was good, though we were stuck in traffic on the M4 getting there and arrived with less than 10 minutes to go and had to jog to the start. It's a big park and the course is mostly grass so it was a bit tiring for me. Louise was obviously a bit fitter than me and was bored of the 30 mins pace and really went for it in the last 800m, actually dragging me along! It was lots of fun.

Well done Groundhog. But you needn't have sprinted to get to the start, running fashionably late is clearly the cool 😎 thing to do.
