I thought I was going to have nothing better than a very unpleasant new thing today, which was waking up with my eye stuck together, then squeezing antibiotics in at regular intervals.
However, this afternoon I discovered it’s possible to upload from twinkl straight to google drive. I expect all other teachers already knew this, and it looks like it will only be useful for two more weeks anyway (hooray!), but I’m happy about it nevertheless.

That sounds like a very useful newt Kirsty (Hopes the spelling and fact-checking has got better on Twinkle since the last time I used it ;) )

Love hp's pic :) reminding us that the lakes and mountains are still there waiting for us

My newt is using my new resistance bands for the first time - stuck to the medium one, will see what my shoulders feel like in the morning before deciding if I should have gone "heavy"

I also heard a new to me band on the app - southern rock style Blackberry Smoke, how come I haven't come across them before - great work-out toooons :)

Busy newt day! Fab pic HP.
Two things that are newt, this century at least. I’ve recently altered dietary intake and pattern to help with reflux, which means fewer calories. As a result for the first time since I was 19 I weigh under 11 stone and have a blood pressure of 118/70. Not entirely newt but they haven’t happened in the last 30 years 😂😂😂
There’s another thing but I want to wait a few days, see if it sticks around first...which possibly makes it sound more exciting & cryptic than it actually is.

My magnolia is sprouting newt flowers, must be getting ready for Easter as it’s always in flower then :-)

Scraped my way through to the last 64 of the WSW Multimatch so I'm training differently this week. Aim is to get into the last 32 for the very first time and get a new badge. My newt for today is to be in third place! No idea if I'll be able to hold on but I've made a good start :-)

I'm struggling to think of anything new I've done today at all. I will start reading a new book this evening I think!

Hmmmm, nothing hugely newty here so far...

I don't think browsing part time PhD courses counts (applying for one would, of course, but I'm not there yet and the idea itself isn't even that new as I've been applying for full time funded positions over the last year).
Might check out this band that RH mentioned, later.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
