Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

No headtorch on my early run this morning. It was just about OK, first time this year. Can't wait to be running in daylight again.

I've just thought of a newt - more for the dog than for me. We had a dilemma with some food. It was a piece of steak bought by someone as a treat for an elderly relative when they did some shopping for her. Sadly she doesn't really cook much and I think was anxious about cooking it anyway. BaronBR went to see her at the weekend (we are her bubble) and was going to cook it for her lunch but it was several days out of date by then and she wasn't feeling too well anyway - so he bought it home. Rightly or wrongly it wasn't big enough for a meal for both of us and it was out of date so I took the decision to give it to Wanda for her supper. Steak!! For the dog!! That's a newt unlikely ever to be repeated in this household.

Inspired by HB, I'm aiming to walk a pie every day (3.14 miles). I am still building up to it though, which is a bit embarrassing.

Ooh, Popcorn and I got 70.43% (.43 very important) in our dressage test and came 2nd! Popcorn also came 3rd, on his own*.

*Not really. My friend borrowed him as her pony is mainly retired and can’t a whole dressage test is too much for his joints.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
