(Also, though obviously it DOESN’T MATTER and we were competing to IMPROVE OUR OWN PERFORMANCE not to beat other people...the lady who came first is extremely experienced and is trusted to exercise the yard owner’s eventer. So. I can deal with that. )

(He’s not naturally a massively consistent horse - he has a lot of feelings and you always know about it. Much like my dog. There’s a theme here...)

Not watching TV, not even looking at my phone, just looking around me and listening to the birds. It was lovely. I was a bit later taking my lunch break than usual, so the sun was already off the little lunch/breakfast terrace, but tomorrow hopefully I'll be earlier.

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
