Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Iron tubs that is exciting.

I had a day off today and met a friend and did another newt bike route. There was a bit of hike-a-biking as there was ice and steep bits. You could see Loch Ness, Ben Wyvis and the Beauly Firth from the top. We had lunch in a wee hut with this view...

Then we did the blue circuit which wasn’t new but finding my friend stuck in a snow bank was :) We were both knackered despite only covering about 10 miles.

'First outdoor run of spring' jda? Have you been running on a treadmill? Or is today officially the first day of spring? I guess it's the latter as didn't you race yesterday?

HP that looks fabulous! what a newt!

My newt today is cheese scones with a bit of red onion... game changer they are amazing. I have struggled today with covid-life and took a few mins out of my working day and cracked off said scones. Pre run fuelling :)

Well I was refer both to the weather and the outside-ness Sharkie. I've hardly run outside this winter as I've have been about 90% zwift cycling and 8% zwift treadmilling (the race was bike).

Technically spring starts on 1st March in meteorological terms but I've got a good feeling about this current mild spell...I reckon we've now had all the proper wintry weather we are due. So I'm calling it spring and so were the large numbers of walkers I saw!

Nothing like as exciting as hp's impressive adventure though...just 5k up the local lanes...

I had a beautiful run yesterday it was proper spring like - shorts (well skort) and t-shirt, I even had to take my lightweight jacket off.

Grey and damp this morning but its picked up so I'm off out for another spring like run shortly.

Definitely looking forward to things happening again soon EP

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
