A cheroot is a thin cigar, open at both ends, usually thicker and stubbier than a panatela, and sometimes slightly tapered. I thought it was just a cigarette in dark paper. I stand corrected. |

So, no spoilers, but I am now slightly intrigued by the story somewhat. However s2 & 1 started to fall apart some time around episode 4 or 5, so we'll wait to save full judgement |

Again, on a non-Picard tangent, I've just watched "In the cards" from late S5 of DS9, and been reminded how well they did comedy. I'm sure Dr Geiger with his "soulless minions of orthodoxy" would find common cause on the internet nowadays.
