Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hmmm, it sounded like Fan Fiction. Lots of in jokes (I mean, you would have to have read all 5 books and some wiki history to get all of the references), lots of recap as Linds said, and then the actual story was very confused (whereas the original was actually quite a good yarn, as well as having hilarious, individual lines and scenes and concepts.) John Lloyd's voice as the book can't possibly be as good as Peter Jones. Marvin's voice / character seemed all wrong. But I did have a couple of proper LOL and snort moments. I'll listen again, certainly. Stephen Hawking as Book 2 was a great geek-out, but can't be sustained for long dialogue I don't think. Anyhoo, fun to have it back. :-) G

I liked Stephen Hawking as Book 2, too.

I prompted my boss, an old hitch hikers fan. And he professed himself, "not disappointed"! Faint praise. :-) G

Hardly surprising it was a bit rubbish. 40 years ago it was exciting and modern to us children/young adults. Now it is old and tired like its fans :-)

I might give it a go later. Read all the books. Liked the TV show. Film was pants but that was a lacklustre Freeman* having a few days off on auto pilot affair.

He is always like that.

I quite enjoyed last night's episode. The Teleportation Blues was better in print than a 2 min song! I quite like the interview with Cthulhu, a demi god applying for position of god and not getting a call back! :-) G

I only caught the middle section but I thought it was definitely improving. And I also liked the demigod interview scene.
