Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Not sure Paramount+ has anything worth watching beyond Picard and Lower Decks.

And Prime TV is just a useful byproduct of having Amazon Prime for ordering stuff.

At least that's how I see it.

Indeed fozzy, but we have been using Amazon less in general, and as a matter of principle I've subbed to paramount as that's where Trek's home is. We have recently subbed to Disney too, so something has to give...

In defence of Paramount+, albeit a long way from Trek, there's also the Yellowstone family of series...

Yeah, not bothered about that.

"as a matter of principle"

Ha! I got over principle with regards to this sort of thing a while ago.

I don't think it's affordable in the age of 900 streaming platforms.

Go for the ones you need/really want and only for the limited time you need them for.

Well... We use P+ for Paw Patrol for my niece too - but I think that proves your point more than it strengthens mine 😂

There's too many streamers - I was about to kick Netflix then Kaleidoscope and 90s Show appeared. I recently renewed Apple for a month too to watch Ted Lasso for the first time.

In other more exciting news - Picard and the gang are back this week!! 🖖 The early reviews are calling this the best Trek in 25 years. Which I think we can all agree is quite the claim.

"best Trek in 25 years"

Given there was nothing from 2005 until 2017......

(no the 3 Kelvin films don't count)

I know, I know, but the critics are saying that it's best Trek since the 90s Trek.

Even the most vocal reviewers who have slated Picard up to now have agreed that this is a return to form.

We'll know for sure in ten weeks time, but early indications are positive for now!

[roflaherty, Paw Patrol seems to be endemic - it shows up on Netfix and Prime too.... (grandchildren, who have never asked me to switch on any version of Star Trek for them! Although the eldest is only 7. 😂)]
