Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm deputy head in a primary school so I pay for my own drinks and towards the cost of those drunk by visitors. I pay £1 a week for my own use and contribute the rest of the note to the fund. I also buy decent coffee for myself and keep it in a cupboard far away. I wash up in one building and take my turn emptying and loading the dishwasher in the other. I usually make cups of tea for the head and for visitors because someone has to do it. There are cakes and biscuits if someone buys them - and lots of people bring things in :-)

GP practice on the other side of the Irish Sea from Vrap. Decent instant coffee, tea and biscuits provided. Usually some form of chocolate from patient donations. Frequent extras via staff, the highlight was the bake off last year with an awesome cake each week.
When I worked in the pharmacy we got tap water. Not sure it was drinking water but we made do.

We have a vast range of teas, all the posh herbal ones, but the normal one is Yorkshire Tea, of which I am not a fan. I prefer PG Tips. But then, I don't generally drink tea at work. We have nice water coolers; filtered from the mains rather than bottled, which I believe is greener. Coffee is instant stuff. Free milk - enough to have on your cereal too. Also work-branded mugs (although most people bring their own mug). The meeting rooms have Fox's glacier fruit sweets (I have a bit of a habit here). If you have external visitors you get the Special Biscuit Plate, which can include Viscounts and Club biscuits. We also have a subsidised café and get meals delivered to our desks. Sometimes nice, maybe not on curry day...

"provisions"? Seriously? As a quasi-public sector worker we had access to a kettle but had to provide the actual comestibles ourselves. (4 different jobs in UK and abroad, also in numerous visits to different employers).

Our workplace provides teabags, instant coffee, milk, sugar and sweeteners. Also chilled water.

I yearn for proper coffee and often go out at lunchtime just to get a fix, even if I'm not otherwise hungry in need of lunch. Considering buying myself an Aeropress to save myself the lunchtime journey.

We get water and vile vending machine drinks (no cups). I’d be cheaper going out to eat than use my canteen. Sadly there is nowhere local to go to so I bring lunch whenever I can rather than pay over the odds for shit food
