Well done Lin! Just had a nosy at your training log, great effort! :-)

Bit of a change of plan for me - have had to switch today’s planned run to tomorrow.

Tempo run done. Really pleased with it, the two miles at pace were a lot quicker than last week.

Here’s the tempo run from last week:

and here’s today’s:

Not sure if I’ll be able to manage today’s pace again next week, but will see how it goes.

Blimey that's a whole minute faster each mile on the tempo part. I also noticed that your 2 mile cool down was quicker. I found I did that too.

Well done jenny that's another ace played.

Set my benchmark. Need to check my last pre lockdown parkrun, but I think it's a good minute slower.

1 minute 20 in fact and I was working my way back in Feb 2020 having been ill. Lots of miles since, but a drop in pace.

Well done mr d, considering there's been no races and probably not a lot of motivation to do speed work that's not bad going.

Good luck going forward with PJ.

I’m trying to get my head around the programme. Having input our 5k time, we’re given targets for the three training disciplines. Do these targets stay the same for the ten weeks, or do we modify our targets as we progress?
Seeing how well jennyh has progressed on her Tempos, how should she set next weeks target?
Yours confusedly, ER.

I have jokered my two faster runs this week and shall start again this weekend with an easy, longer run... then hope next week will be better :)

ER, I was just wondering the same thing... as we get faster, do our sessions get adjusted or would that be overcooking it?
