I suppose I can keep the project up: I am faster walking than run walking and the long, tempo and interval sessions would suit me!

I think using the PJ sessions to give some structure and variety to your Nordic walking sessions sounds like a really good idea. Do keep us posted on how you get on.

I was a bit naughty tonight..set out to do my threshold run and felt good from the start so did my 2 miles tempo with no warm up (😬) then 1 mile easier pace cool down. Really pleased with how good it felt though.

That's a mile less you didn't run then Lin you could have done 4 miles total. I'm pleased you enjoyed it and it felt good.

Will do guys, thanks For me, walking has largely bern something you do socially and dawdly, so having discovered it can be vigorous exercise akin to running is ace.

A pleasing long run today. The target is 60-90 mins at 11:26/mi. I’m afraid that I can not run that slow unless my eyes are constantly on my Garmin, so I set myself a slightly faster pace of 11/mi.
What I actually achieved was a pleasant surprise:

I managed to stick to 3 sessions of Nordic Walking last week, as per the project.
So far so good, about to hit the trails for a 60 + minute walk.
Very consistent ER!

Interval session done today. I set off far too fast on the first three intervals and ended up having to walk some of the recovery. Had to shorten the duration of the last couple of intervals as I was running out of steam, but a good session overall and I’m definitely feeling the benefit of these PJ sessions.
