Leaving the EU was the single most stupid decision ever taken by the electorate IMHO. However, that is democracy in action, and more people thought it better to leave. The egg has been cracked and there is no amount of sticky tape is going to put the egg back in the shell. Rejoining will remain an option, although I suspect the terms will be far less favourable than we originally had - cant see that going down well with anyone. Agreed. |

Meanwhile planet remain on this thread only wants to rejoin the EU to give access to cheaper labour which will clearly not help the struggling working classes anywhere Is there a pool of resources that is hiding from the NHS, Pharmacies, Shops, Farms, etc |

Anyway, in the real world, the reaction of the far right press to the budget was predictable. You know, the lot that first called Truss' budget a masterpiece, then said it was disastrous.... |

Meanwhile our prime minister has been a busy bee at the Bilderberg / G20 / neoliberal jamboree in Indonesia, putting deep personal attention into improving the Anglo-French relationship |

Not sure all the RWP are calling it a success bbc.co.uk The Express is the one that boiled my piss though, claiming they secured a 10.1% rise in pensions (not mentioning all the other benefits) and underneath noting the high tax burden and failing to realise that the two things may just a tad related. |
