I’ve been wanting to go for ages. I met a lady at Box End who said “it’s ok” in a way that suggested she wasn’t thrilled by it. I really liked it. Very clear water. Lots of tiddlers swimming about. Some slightly odd shallow spots out at the far buoys but I just did very shallow breaststroke for a few metres.
Lovely. 😀

Sounds great Katie.
I’ve been trying to swim a bit more regularly at the Loch. Great swim tonight.

I've not swum there for a few years, but yes, it's good. There's a bit of a beach on the north bit for chilling out and the Marshfield Farm ice creams from the little café are recommended.

Here’s my offering. Spring Lakes in Long Eaton (Notts). Nice big venue, with a loop that’s somewhere around 0.7-0.9 miles round (I am still gathering data ).

Lake 32 is where my OW swimming started Quite a few friends have 'defected' to lake 86 now but that's alongside the dual carriageway (so a shorter drive but also much less tranquil.) Glad you enjoyec it Katie
