Beoad Bean Harvest finished. Onions almost ready. Cucumbers and Courgettes non existent but hopefully get going. Toms in greenhouse could be epic this year. Third crop of lettuce going in. May grow Radish and Beetroot on spare patches.
Corn. Nope.

Never seem to manage a crop of radishes when I've sown this time of the year - can usually get one or two sowings to edible starting late August and early September though.
Lots of cucumbers, both ridge and greenhouse. chillis not setting very well, but getting some. Toms similar - plenty of flowers but only a couple per truss forming fruit. Slugs have started on the carrots - which have been very good so far. finished the new potatoes, never have room to grow enough.

Here's a thing, I got talking to an old bloke, they're usef for gardening, he said plant a few carrot seeds in tall pots, keep then in a greenhouse early, let them germinate, grow for a few weeks, then set them outside, works a treat....

I'd find a stables nearby and make a donation in exchange for some horse manure, EP - preferably the well rotted stuff from around the back!
Put it on on over winter and things will look different next year!
