Went to the National Museum of Computing at the weekend, so many 'I learnt Basic on one of them at College' or 'I had one of them' looking at PC's / PDA's / Mobiles!!
First PC was a little better than this as it was the 1640 and had a 16 colour screen!!
Had the wedge TI calculator, 2 of the Psion computers and 2 of the Palm PDA's on this pic...

You are right about abandoning the landline though! It’s only here for the Internet and my mum is the only person who has the number! I still have a landline so that I can speak to strangers 😂

I don’t speak to strangers! If I don’t recognise the number I don’t answer! Then I go into the who called me website check to see who it is then block them!

If a strange number calls I don’t answer and if they really want me then they can leave a message. We don’t have a phone plugged in and I’ve no idea what our number is anyway…just use our mobiles.

My land-line is currently broken. It comes as part of a bundle (phone, TV, broadband). I never use it but if I'm paying for it I expect it to be working.
Currently in a twitter fight with them as I can't find a number to call them on ........on my mobile phone of course .....

I’ve no idea of our landline no. Northern Exile of this parish was one of about three folk who had our last number

I recognise a few of those PDAs and probably still have them somewhere.

Catching up.
1. Ford Fiesta. Oh how I miss the joys of a manual choke. NOT!
2. Brechin 4057. Drive me nuts when we moved to 01356 624057. So many numbers - no passwords happily.
3. I still get shoulder pains from lugging a luggable pool computer to clients. One client used to take a back up copy of the accounts by making a photocopy of the floppy disk and putting the paper in the office safe.

Was working at a company that did phone systems when a lot of code changes happened, I earned a lot of overtime manually updating a lot of files and I mean a lot. Think I'm still not allowed to say which was the biggest customer I did for summer bizarre reason.
