I was supposed to do 16 miles with 8 of them at MP yesterday and ended up doing 15 miles (ran out of time to do the last one) with none of them at MP.

I suspect even Mr. Kipchoge might have struggled to hit marathon pace though.

I was lucky today and only had persistent light rain on my long run. Still, was glad of a hot soak afterwards 😁

It was very mild for me and no wind to speak of, hallelujah. Tomorrow however...

I found it a bit of a struggle going out last night Oscar (although it wasn't too bad once I did). Like you, I'm also out tomorrow and it does not look pleasant at all. Thankfully only only 5 to do, before my first go at 20 on Sunday.

20 is good for the confidence. Run as slow as you like/need but do run it all :-)

Weather was actually alright for me in the last week, maybe it was good karma for running that half in Storm Dennis.

VO2 max session tomorrow for me, 5 x 1k at sub 7 pace with 2 recovery, I think my coach uses this as a benchmarking session for speed as I did it in January with 3 recovery. I wonder if he'll ask me to run an all out 5k at some point in March, or maybe it's just to keep me engaged with the training? Thursdays are normally gradually increasing tempo sets otherwise (up to 5 miles at tempo so far).

18 miles planned for Sunday so not quite up to 20 yet, I think I'm going to get the train into London and do it along the VLM route to give myself a break from the hills.

Hope everyone has a good week of training rain aside :)
