Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

WildeRover I think you have perfectly summed up why I did not enjoy running Swansea Bay so much. It feels like the finish line never gets any closer, probably also not helped by the fact the finish is a few hundred meters further than the start line.

Tollcross has a proper manic finish, quite a steep tarmac downhill then down a grassy bank onto a short, flat grass finish. There must be some 'Bambi on Ice' moments in wet weather (which of course Glasgow is never known for). Falkirk was quite exciting the day I did it with ice on the long final downhill. Strathclyde is another where you see the finish from a very long way out, especially fun in a strong headwind.

Word for Aberdeen beach which has a nice wide path with a sweeping downhill finish. Usually more sheltered than the main course too.

Can feel like it goes on a bit like...! Probably only 500m really!

On the Swansea Bay 10K course there is a "hill" almost bang on 8KM, people who have done it know that it is 5 feet at most, does the Swansea Bay parkrun finish position reflect avoiding this being on the course ?
