Did you know disconnecting your watch from your phone will give you a couple more days GG? I also find putting it on battery saver during the day means I don’t have to charge it as often! |

That is very interesting Jelly I did say to my friend maybe when I am using it as a watch out it battery saving mode. I have a few occasions where I walk to a friends / pub and I pause to resume on wag home, I’m thinking this may mean it’s using battery in background. |

When it's paused it will try and maintain a satellite lock, so will continue to drain the battery. Using 'resume later' doesn't, but it does mean it will need to reacquire satellites when you resume. For any lengthy break resuming later is a far better option. Buying a fancy watch and then hamstringing its performance by using battery saver seems a weird way to go about things. Why not just put it charge occasionally and use it to its full? |

I do resume later as if you leave it for so long it saves it for you anyway It’s only lost 15% since yesterday and that included a run and a walk. I agree to flanker if it’s there to do what it can do might as well let it and charge more I just can’t understand why week 1 it lasted 3 days longer than after 2nd charge. But I’m at day 5 now abs with 34% left so maybe it hadn’t fully charged (although I’m sure it was at 100%) |

geordiebells There is apparently a strange thing with a faulty charging cable, as i realized when i had some issues with an other Garmin watch. If there is some issues with the cable, the watch can think it got 100% charge. but it hasen´t. That´s how i got it explained to me anyhow after a lot of research. It sounds strange, but apparently that´s how it can show it self if there´s a problem with the cable. If you have an other charging cable, maybe try that as well? |

Any thoughts on the size? I have fairly small wrists, Has anyone gone with the X Though the screen on the epic looks awfully tempting - has anyone got one yet to compare with the Fenix? |

Homer There´s loads of comparison on for instance reddit and so on, if you want to bonatanize a bit. Epix is faaaar prettier for sure, but maybe you have to think about what you want out of a Garmin watch. Smartish and pretty, or butch and durable. Are you ok with significantly less battery time, smartphone-ish display, go for it. You like the ruggedness och stamina battery vise (and a flashlight on the x ) Go for Fenix. I have 6,3" (16cm) wrist, im rocking the X size with no issues at all. But i guess it subjective of course. DC rainmaker has comparison between the two. Good luck with your choice. |

My wrist is 6” and this is the S I think I’d struggle with the X but then I am a girl and the super large X might look a bit too big - although the battery life!! |

Sigh
geordiebells , I'd get really annoyed with the 'unproductive' on the centre of the watch face! Mine went from 'Peaking' to 'recovery' just by doing a pre-race warm up yesterday.
