Announcing a public celebration for a platinum jubilee nearly two years hence is not at all tempting fate. [I really hope to be wrong. ]

Fragile Do Not Bend
[I thought it was amusing that everything I’ve seen on TV about it today has completely avoided mention of the elephant in the room ]

Well that was fun, going with you on your second run after you haven't run for six weeks and complain bitterly to me how you are at your heaviest and unfittest ever, and then you pull ahead of me within the first mile and stay well ahead of me for the rest of the run, leaving me to struggle to keep you within sight.
If that's you at your heaviest and unfittest, I suggest we don't run together from now on because it's too disheartening for me and I just can't hack it at the moment.
