Raptors Claws are coming to town
[Reminds me of my daughter's class of four- and five-year-olds, twenty years ago, belting out, "And there are lots of girls besides that I would like to be beside ... "]

Blimey, how stupid do you think I am? Your boss leaves for the day and you're suddenly away from your desk for ten minutes. Just because you went down the back stairs doesn't make me think you're not nipping out for a fag. If you're going to be sneaky, try and be a bit smarter and really you shouldn't take me for an idiot.

(6 year old child's school disco last week ended with House of Pain's "Jump Around." Glad the kids were too busy, quite liderally jumping around, to listen to those lyrics)*

*apologies to Smashy and Nicey there, mate.

I had a lovely weekend thank you for asking.
I'm not pissed off at you going but I'm fecking mad about the way you arranged it.
I'm not sure I can carry on living what is effectively two parallel lives. It is breaking me.

I don't make any secret of the fact that I don't think it's all calories-in-calories-out, but even I find it a stretch to accept that you've vomited up Every. Single. Thing. you have eaten in the past three-and-a-half weeks and have gained almost a stone in weight over the same period of time in the absence of evidence of an extra limb or a whopping great tumour in your belly.

Fragile Glass Bauble
My dad hasn't spent hours waiting in the corridor for his oncology bed, which is currently occupied by someone who is waiting for patient transport to take him home. Dad's not threatening to give up and go home.
